ourselves?" he said brightly, his eyes shimmering with unshed
tears. "Are we a trio? A triad? What?"
"Well, we're certainly not a threesome," Tiger said.
"You had to say it." Moonlight smacked Tiger's thigh.
"If you want me, big boy, just let me know," Smoke told
Tiger.

Moonlight, Tiger, and Smoke

"If the other members of the Table could hear the two of
you right now...." Tiger's voice trailed off. "Pay no attention to
me," he said. "I'm not known for being perceptive."
"I have no complaints," Moonlight said. "And why do we
need to give ourselves a name?"
"Because if we don't, someone else will."
"Fine," Moonlight said. "If we succeed, what difference
does it make what someone calls us?"
"None, I guess." Smoke looked over at Tiger.
"Am I the only one who's starving?" Tiger asked.
Moonlight realized how hungry he was and let Tiger help
him to his feet. With Tiger on his right and Smoke on his left,
he walked out of the Great Hall.

Tsukikage, Tora, and Kemuri are remembered in Kagehito
history as the Triple Dragons, though Tiger was not, in fact, a
member of Dragon Tribe, he was called Iron Dragon by the
men under his command. In a single lifetime, Moonlight,
Tiger, and Smoke reformed the customs of the Kagehito,
restoring them to the founders' original intent. Such was their
power when the three stood together, a power unmatched by
any that had come before them. Their like has not been seen
since. However, only the stars know what the future will
bring.

Moonlight, Tiger, and Smoke

Connie Bailey is a Luddite who can't live without her
computer. She's an acrophobic who loves to fly, a fault-
finding pessimist who, nonetheless, is always surprised when
something bad happens, and an antisocialite who loves her
friends like family. She's held a number of jobs in many
disparate arenas to put food on the table, but writing is the
occupation that feeds her soul.
Connie lives with her ultralight designer husband at a small
grass-strip airfield halfway between Disney World and Busch
Gardens. Logic and reality have had little to do with her life,
and she likes it that way.
